Vibrant straw yellow. Mirabelle plum, acacia flower, fennel blossom; allspice, fenugreek and crushed fennel seed.
A compelling combination of things sweet and green - garden herbs - and things young and yellow, flowers-goldenrod, dandelion, calendula. So clean and pure so cool in texture, like cold mountain air, that the concentration and extract at the end of the palate come as nearly a shock. Long and intense, but always remaining fresh.
95 Points ~ “This is at the top of its game. Faint cashew and light honey scents with florals, whiff of ferns, slosh of stone fruit. Superb texture, a real feature of this wine, offering a core of flint-flecked minerality painted with a light glossy coat. Long in flavour, bright in chardonnay flavour, gentle limey acidity that finishes the wine in a breathy tang. Pure and full of energy, but with a come hither feel. It’s just so wonderful to drink.”
